Deborah SHINE – EMDR Therapy
EMDR Sandtray Therapy & Dramatherapy
in Exeter & Plymouth
Welcome
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or in need of gentle support? Are you finding your experience too complicated or too hard to name? You are not alone. Please reach out.
I offer an emotionally safe space where you can express, explore, understand, gain insight and grow from what’s happening, at your own pace. Our work together will be collaborative, creative, relational, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming. I work with children, young people and their adults
How I Work
EMDR Sandtray Therapy is a gentle, deep, contained hands-on approach using sand and small figures (such as people, animals, and objects). I blend in a creative arts therapy approach too when needed to help broaden ways of expressing and representing your challenges and strengths. This helps you to express and explore your experiences from different perspectives, increasing your emotional distance.
This blended dynamic client led approach allows your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences to be expressed and witnessed by you simultaneously in a concrete way. You can explore your experiences through imagery, words or silence. This symbolic approach is really helpful for neurodiverse individuals who may find words too restrictive or alienating.
If you want to rediscover your sense of wonder, curiosity, to regain insight and hope, beyond feeling stuck, fear, shame or hopeless, You are welcome to contact me.
